Principles for Responsible Investment
Nathan Fabian is the Director of Policy and Research at the United Nations-supported Principles for Responsible Investment. He is responsible for developing and implementing the PRI’s policy, research and on-line education activities, supporting signatories to identify and overcome barriers that currently prevent financial markets from functioning sustainably. In this role, Nathan leads the PRI’s Sustainable Financial System activities, a multi-year project which uses systems dynamics and policy analysis techniques to assess the contribution of the financial system to sustainable economies. His team also develops the investor input to the G20 Green Finance Study Group and supports PRI Chair Martin Skancke on the FSB Taskforce for Climate related Financial Disclosures.
Prior to this role, Nathan was the CEO of the Investor Group on Climate Change (IGCC). IGCC is an association of institutional investors managing $1tr in assets that works to improve government policy and investment practice on climate change. Previous roles include Head of ESG research at Regnan, a leading provider of environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) research and engagement. He has also worked as Partner of start-up company financing firm FullCorp Partners, a senior consultant for Arthur Andersen, as a market analyst at Krone, a German-based telecommunications company and as a corporate governance policy advisor to Senator Penny Wong of Australia.
Nathan holds an M.A. in International Relations from the University of New South Wales and BBus from the University of Newcastle.
